Live Reports: The Paranoyds + Kills Birds at Lodge Room

I had a phone call with Lexi (Guitar/Vocals) and David (Drums) as The Paranoyds were driving through a storm during their last tour on the East Coast. We had to cut it short because they began to get scared and needed to concentrate on the road. A week later, Laila (Keys/Vocals) told me she was the one driving and it was literally the most difficult part of their tour. Thankfully, they made it crosscountry and landed safely in their hometown in LA to perform their last show of the US tour at the Lodge Room. While I am writing this, their new European tour is beginning, they didn't have much time to rest. The photos below show they still have a great deal of energy to spare on stage defending their brand new record Talk, Talk, Talk. A brand new Hanging On Sunset podcast episode will be published soon featuring our conversation. Stay tuned.

I arrived just in time to see Kills Birds open, and this is definitely a band you should check out live. There's nothing like them for a fucking rollercoaster ride of dynamic changes and raw emotion. Find out more about them in Ziggy's last review. Let's hope we get a chance to speak with them soon as well.
